# Licences

Public evidence package v1.0.2. Licensing under the release policy: open knowledge, evidence as transparent as legitimately possible, proprietary technology protected. This file lists every file of the package with its licence and the third-party material inside it.

Published by AlphaCitation Research, the research programme of AlphaCitation, a digital product of Akunudo LLC-FZ. AlphaCitation is a digital product of Akunudo LLC-FZ, a free-zone company registered in the United Arab Emirates. Akunudo LLC-FZ is the copyright holder and licensor of the original material identified in this publication. That material is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), subject to the third-party exclusions stated below. Except where separately identified, the original text, figures and compiled research outputs for which Akunudo LLC-FZ holds the relevant rights are licensed under CC BY 4.0. Quoted third-party text, third-party data fields, API/provider-restricted material and third-party marks are excluded from that grant unless their own licence expressly permits the stated reuse.

## Summary

- **`code/`:** only the study scripts the founder expressly approves are released, under the MIT licence (text below): `code/lib.ts`, `code/verify.ts`. Every other study script is proprietary and is not in the package; no other code is licensed.
- **The redacted evidence datasets:** CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), © 2026 AlphaCitation (Akunudo LLC-FZ), only where Akunudo LLC-FZ holds the redistribution rights. Any file or field derived from third-party material keeps its own rights and restrictions, listed per file below, and the Gemini constraints of the Gemini reporting policy apply. Gemini results are reported in aggregate; verbatim outputs and grounding links are not redistributed.
- **Figures:** the figure files (the SVGs, the figure data in CSV and FIGURES.md) are CC BY 4.0, © 2026 AlphaCitation (Akunudo LLC-FZ), and are governed by this manifest. Scripts not in `code/`, `figures.ts` among them, are not released and not licensed.
- **Documentation** (README, DATA-DICTIONARY, REDACTION-LOG, ENDPOINT-SPECIFICATIONS, FIGURES, MANIFEST, the token map, this file): CC BY 4.0, © 2026 AlphaCitation (Akunudo LLC-FZ).
- **Third-party material** keeps its original rights and contractual restrictions; the notices are in README.md, "Licence and third-party material".

Attribution for CC BY 4.0: "AlphaCitation Research Series, Paper No. 01: public evidence package", © 2026 AlphaCitation (Akunudo LLC-FZ), with the version and a link to the package.

## Not licensed (proprietary, expressly excluded)

- the active question battery (withheld under §2.8);
- AlphaCitation's measurement instruments;
- production software, including the application source the scripts refer to by path;
- confidential methodology implementations, including the production scorer's internals and the parameters withheld under protocol §10;
- unreleased datasets, including the held pull, the Gemini redirect cache, the internal cycle-code map and the restricted archive of withheld identities.

Nothing outside this package is released or licensed by it.
