Terms of Service

1. The Service

AlphaCitation is an AI-perception and market-intelligence tool that measures how AI answer engines (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity) represent brands, and produces reports, scores and recommendations based on those measurements. Outputs are generated from automated queries to third-party AI systems and are provided for informational purposes.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account. Keep your access credentials secure.

3. Subscriptions, billing & renewals

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on each renewal.
• Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods.
• You are responsible for any taxes, duties or charges imposed by your jurisdiction in connection with your purchase.

4. Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel at any time to stop future charges. Cancellation and refund terms are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any third party's rights;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems;
• resell or redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted by your plan; or
• submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to submit.

6. Your data & our intellectual property

You retain ownership of the inputs you submit (such as brand names and categories). You grant us a licence to process those inputs to operate and improve the Service. Reports we generate for you are licensed to you for your internal business use. The Service itself — including its software, methodology, scoring and branding — remains our property and that of our licensors.

7. AI-generated outputs & accuracy

The Service relies on third-party AI systems whose answers change over time and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Reports are point-in-time estimates, not guarantees of any outcome, ranking, or commercial result. You are responsible for your own decisions made in reliance on them. We do not provide legal, financial, or professional advice.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party providers (including payment, email, hosting and AI providers). Your use may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of laws principles. The courts of competent jurisdiction in the United Arab Emirates will have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any applicable free-zone regulations.
