We Don't Guess If AI Said Your Name. We Verified It — 99.5% Sure.

Most tools that claim to track "AI visibility" are, underneath, guessing. They skim an answer, notice your name went by, and call it a mention. Ask them how sure they are and the honest answer is: not measured. We built AlphaCitation to be the opposite of that — a fly on the wall in the room where AI is talking about you, and a fly on the wall that keeps receipts.

Most people think they heard your name. We know we did.

Every scan checks whether your brand was actually named across real buyer questions — not a keyword scrape, a parser reading the answer the way a person would. We don't just trust that parser, either. We put it in front of an independent judge — a second, separate AI with no knowledge of what our own system concluded — and asked it to grade our reading against 220 real captured answers, twice, in two separate rounds.

The result: 99.5% agreement. Not a number we assigned ourselves — a number an outside grader arrived at independently, checking our homework. When we say your brand was named in an AI's answer, that's not a guess. That's a fact we checked.

Hearing your name is the easy part. Knowing the tea is the real work.

Being named is only half the story. The harder, more valuable question is: what did AI actually say about you when it said your name? Was it a warm recommendation, a neutral factual mention buried in a list, or a backhanded "sure, but..."? That's a genuinely harder problem than detecting a name — sentiment is a judgment call, not a lookup, and we hold ourselves to the same bar: measured against an independent judge, not self-graded.

We're currently at 84% agreement with that independent judge on sentiment — up from 44% when we started rigorously measuring it, through real, verified engineering fixes on top of a live model call, not a bigger word list. We're publishing that number, not a nicer-looking one, because a stat you can't defend isn't worth having. And we're not done — we hold sentiment to the exact same standard we hold mention-detection to, and we'll keep publishing the real number as it improves.

Why this matters more than a score

Anyone can show you a dashboard. Very few will show you how they know the dashboard is right. That's the difference between a tool that tells you AI mentioned you, and one that can prove it — and then tell you what was actually said in the room.

Full technical detail lives on the methodology page. If you want to know what AI is actually saying about your brand, run a free scan.
